LPS (BAUMER)

Low-pressure switches (LPS) are safety devices in reverse osmosis (RO) water purification systems that monitor the incoming water pressure. If the pressure drops below a pre-determined minimum, the LPS automatically shuts off the system.

This mechanism serves several crucial functions: Protects the RO pump from dry running: Operating a pump without sufficient water flow can cause overheating and damage.

Safeguards the RO membrane: Low pressure can reduce the efficiency and lifespan of the delicate RO membrane.
