Description:
When the under-sink RO storage tank(pressure tank) is full, or there’s a blockage in the RO unit, the backpressure increases. The HPS detects this rise in pressure. Suppose the pressure exceeds a setpoint (typically around 0.25 Mpa or 40 psi). In that case, it automatically cuts off the power to the RO booster pump, preventing it from running continuously and potentially burning out its coils or damaging the RO membrane due to excessive pressure.
